Meals for New Moms (and Families)
Our parish would like to help you welcome a new baby into your family
by providing a couple of hot, home cooked meals to help ease the transition
and recovery of Mom. So many of us live away from family and need a little
support whether this is a first child or sixth. If you or someone you
know in the parish is expecting a new baby, please call Michele at (630)
443-3438 so we can offer them this “Welcome Home Gift”.

If you are thinking that a visit to the food pantry might help
you make ends meet, call Jennie at the Salvation Army at (630)
377-2769.
IN NEED OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE?
Do you know someone who has recently lost a job, and is
unable to cover prescription and other necessary expenses? Let them know that financial aid may be available to help
residents of the Tri- Cities with rent, mortgage, or utility
expenses, as well as information about community resources such
as a free clinic, food pantry and soup kitchen. To place a
confidential inquiry, call Lazarus House from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00
p.m. Monday through Friday (630- 587-2144), or the Tri-Cities
Salvation Army from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
(630) 377-2769.
LAZARUS HOUSE EXPANDS RENTAL ASSISTANCE TO ENTIRE REGION
Lazarus House, which serves homeless and at-risk persons in St. Charles,
Geneva, Batavia and western rural Kane, has expanded its ongoing rental
assistance program to qualifying low-income families in its entire service
area. Households must fall within strict low income limits and must be able
to consistently pay their utilities and at least 25% of their rent.

Are you Sick or Hospitalized?
Call the parish at (630) 377-2797 if you would like a priest to visit.
The new HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) protects
the patient's privacy but prohibits hospitals from notifying a patient's
parish when admitted. Please indicate you are Catholic and request a visit
from a priest when you are admitted.

NEED HELP PAYING HEATING BILLS?
LIHEAP (low income home energy assistance program) helps pay
winter heating or summer cooling bills of low income and
elderly people. Eligibility for assistance is based upon
150% of poverty level. Information regarding eligibility
is available on the Christian Service bulletin board. For

Kid's Day - A free clinic for
childrern, provided by Khanna Dentistry in Geneva, one Saturday a month,
by appointment. For information, call (630) 845-1088 between 10 a.m.
and 2 p.m., Monday through Friday.
KidCare, a health insurance program for
children in Illinois, based on monthly income eligibility,
offering several possibilities, from free health care to affordable

or in Elgin at (847) 695-0848.
FREE MEDICAL CLINIC
TriCity Health Partnership is a free health clinic serving low-income
residents of St.Charles, Geneva, Batavia and Elburn who do not have any
health insurance benefits. Located at 318 Walnut Street, St. Charles,
the clinic provides care for both acute and chronic conditions,
including a specialty clinic for diabetic patients. Now in its fifth
year of service, TCHP has provided over 1800 free doctor visits by more
than 50 doctors and nurses from five local hospitals. TCHP is open
Monday through Thursday and patients are seen by appointment only. For

The St. Vincent de Paul Conference of St.
John Neumann is able to offer limited assistance to parishioners and residents of the Tri-Cities who may be
experiencing temporary hardship due to job loss or other situations. Call
the SVdP Answering Service at
(630) 375-7746. Leave your message and someone from the
conference will return your call within 24 hours. Thanks to the
continued generosity of our parishioners who make this possible.
Elgin Area Housing Option for Seniors
The Housing Authority of Elgin is accepting applications for their independent
living low-to-moderate income housing program. Studio apartments are available.
Applicant screens include: police verification, credit check, landlord
verification, home visit, and income verification. Be prepared to provide
and sign any other documentation necessary. Apply at Senior Services,
101 South Grove Avenue, Elgin, or the Housing Authority, 120 South State Street,
Elgin.

- Surviving Suicide: A Group Experience. Provena St.
Joseph Hospital in Elgin offers sessions for those who have been
touched by a suicide experience. One night a week for five
consecutive weeks. Call (847) 695-3200, ext. 5767.
- Footprints Perinatal: Loss for parents and adult family
members who are coping with a recent miscarriage, ectopic
pregnancy, stillbirth or newborn death. Please register by
calling Fox Valley Volunteer Hospice, (630) 232-2233. 2nd Wednesday of
each month, 7 p.m., Fox Valley Volunteer Hospice.
Help For Troubled Marriages
If your marriage is stressed, unloving and your relationship has
grown cold; if you are thinking of separation or divorce, or if
you are already separated or divorced but want to try again, the

For Better or Worse - Spouse Support Group
For spouses of people with dementia, meets at 1 p.m. on the
2nd Thursday of the month at Elderday Center, 8 So. Lincoln (off Wilson),
