The Youth Ministry program at St. John Neumann focuses on helping youth further develop their relationship with God, make it their own, and be prepared to live out this faith the rest of their life. We do this through several different programs and events throughout the year. Here are some of them: High School Faith Formation- 2 semesters of 6 week sessions. Youth choose what sessions to be a part of based on topic of interest. This affirms an understanding of a lifelong commitment to forming their faith. Middle School Religious Education- 26 Wednesdays throughout the year, 6:45-8:00 p.m. Youth further develop their understanding of the Catholic faith through small groups. Monday Disciples- Every Monday, 7-8:30 p.m. in the Youth Lounge. High school youth are invited to come together for an informal gathering to discuss topics of interest and how they relate to the Catholic faith. Snacks are provided. Middle School Young Disciples- The 2nd Monday of the month, 3:45-5:30 p.m. in the Youth Lounge. Middle School youth are invited to join us after school to discuss a topic of our faith using games, videos, stories and more. This is an open group for anyone to join at any time. Peer Ministry Team- 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of every month, 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Youth Lounge. This is an open group for High School Youth interested in leading and planning different programs and events. Anyone who has ideas that they believe would benefit their fellow high schoolers should attend. SHOUTeam- Spiritually, Holy, Outgoing, YOUths, Together. 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of every month, 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Youth Lounge. This is an open group for Middle School youth who would like to become a peer minister. Youth discuss and develop their faith while also planning events for fellow middle schoolers. There is a great level of leadership development established during these meetings as well. |
